ABOUT

NANOEMCA is funded under HORIZON.1.2 - Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and supports the mobility of researchers between countries, sectors and disciplines to acquire new knowledge, skills and competences.

Novel synthetic procedures for preparation of free and transition metal-loaded mesoporous organosilica confined nanoreactors with different morphologies, high surface area and large pores for industrial applications will be designed.

The exchanged staff will benefit from new knowledge, skills and career development perspectives. The participating institutions will increase their research and innovation capacities in the field of nanomaterials with advanced applications and strengthen their international cooperation to set-up strategic collaborations.

mission

MISSION

Our mission is to establish new research network between academic and non-academic sectors to support the development of a coherent EU-level approach towards international scientific and technological cooperation. The purpose of the NANOEMCA is to increase institutional research performance approaching global societal challenges (climate change, environment, food security, health) by developing efficient solutions to treat wastewater, prevent food contamination, treat health diseases and by optimizing the use of infrastructures and providing more opportunities for researchers at any career stage. Young researchers will gain knowledge on the state-of-the-art in nanotechnology, project management, leadership, communication and innovation essentials for any modern science and engineering professional. Senior researchers will exchange experience, will acquire complementary skills, will share this experience with their teams and will create new networks able to apply in new European collaborative projects. They will have the opportunity to supervise doctoral theses in partnership with other experienced researchers from the consortium partners. The participating institutions will increase their research and innovation capacities in the field of nanomaterials with advanced applications.

vision

VISION

Our vision is to promote collaborations through international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobilities focused on research, training, and knowledge transfer activities in the synthesis, characterization, and relevant applications of the periodic mesoporous organosilica nanoreactors estabilishing a long-term research partnership.

strategy

STRATEGY

Project’s strategy is to build a strong, cross-departmental and long-term research partnership focused on a high-quality reasearch through short-term international, inter-sectoral, and interdisciplinary staff secondments. Training and research activity will be carried out within four discrete and interconnected work packages. Young researchers will work collaboratively and will be coordinated by highly-skilled reserachers. Five training modules will address both technical and professional aspects. The designed activities for dissemination, communication, exploitation, and networking will stimulate the transfer of knowledge, reveal the outcomes and advantages achieved during NANOEMCA and beyond it and will inform the economic agents about the opportunities of using new nanoreactors to improve the quality of life.
