I’m a Senior Researcher From the Aragones Foundation for Research and Development (ARAID) at the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and I’m the co-PI of the GUIA group (https://i3a.unizar.es/en/grupos-de-investigacion/guia), where I’m responsible for the research lines dealing with Bio-based Materials, Packaging Design, Active Packaging and Biological Risk Assessment, with a special focus on active materials with antimicrobial properties and the encapsulation of natural compounds and biomolecules in nanomaterials such as cyclodextrins and nanofibers. I have a 16-year career devoted to research within the fields of Applied Microbiology, Biochemistry and Analytical Chemistry, with an h-index of 24. Some of my latest projects (PID2021-128089OB-I00, TED2021-129138B-C21 and CPP2021-008568) with a cumulative budget of approximately 1 million euros, involve the development of new active packages and the study of their chemical risk assessment, as well as the development of antibiotic-free swine seminal doses.
