Carolina PENALVA
Dr. Peñalva is a researcher with over twelve years of experience leading R&D initiatives at Fundación AITIIP. She specializes in sustainable food packaging, bio-based materials, and circular economy strategies. Dr. Peñalva manages large-scale European consortiums (Horizon 2020, LIFE, CBE JU), acting as Project Coordinator for major initiatives like SISTERS, SOUL, and ENXYLASCOPE. She has served as an Expert Evaluator for the European Commission (BBI JU and CBE JU) regarding proposal selection and progress monitoring since 2017. Holds a PhD in Food Science and Technology from the University of Zaragoza.
