Hector Marcelo FERNANDEZ-LAHORE
Marcelo is currently Head of Unit Environmental and Industrial Biotechnologies at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg). The Unit works across several areas, including pilot bioprocessing, plant cell cultures, microbial/fungal fermentations, microbiome engineering, environmental microbiology, etc. with applications in cosmetics, nutraceuticals, peptides/proteins, agri-food, chemicals/energy. Marcelo holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy and Biochemistry (Buenos Aires) and a Master is Science in Global Finance (London). Before joining LIST, he has been a Professor of Biochemical Engineering and Founding Faculty at the International University Bremen (now Constructor University) (Bremen, Germany) for almost 20 years. He is registered as a Specialist within the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine.
