Eugenia Eftimie TOTU is Professor at Department of Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest (UPB), Romania. She has a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from University of Bucharest, Romania, studying analytical micro-devices for clinical applications, and she was Visiting Professor at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Her scientific interests include advanced electrochemical methods, nano/micro chemical sensors, bio-nano-composite materials for clinical applications, QA and validation of analytical methods. She published over 100 papers (76 ISI), 12 books, and chapters, holding two patents on nano-bio-composites for clinical applications. Since 2010 she has been a member of the European Eurachem Executive Committee. In May 2024 she was appointed Eurachem Chair.
