Florina DUMITRU
Communication Coordinator
Professor Florina Dumitru has expertise in organic and metal complexes synthesis and characterization. Her scientific contributions belong to the field of metallosupramolecular chemistry: systematic insights on how supramolecular information propagate to form 3D constitutional single-crystals have been obtained in the study of metallosupramolecular entities, and to the composite/nanocomposite materials. Her doctoral thesis entitled Dynamic systems containing polydentate ligands. Constitutional amplification in a dynamic combinatorial library of bis(imino)pyridines - co-directed by Dr. Mihail-Dumitru BARBOIU, Université de MONTPELLIER (Montpellier, France) and Professor Cornelia GURAN, POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest - belongs to the field of dynamic combinatorial chemistry (DCC) which has been used, in the last decades, as a powerful tool to discover new receptors, drugs, catalysts and materials.
