On 5 October 2026, the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, coordinator of the NANOEMCA project, funded under the MSCA Staff Exchanges programme, hosted the workshop “30 Years of MSCA: Experiences and Collaborations” in its Senate Hall. Organised by MGM Star Construct SRL, a partner in the NANOEMCA project, in collaboration with partner universities and international research organisations, the event brought together researchers and industry representatives to exchange experiences and explore cooperation between academia and industry.

The workshop brought together four Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges projects: ARTVOC, VOLATEVS, FLAMR and NANOEMCA. Representatives presented their research activities and discussed possibilities for future collaboration across their networks.

Highlighting the opportunities MSCA offers businesses, Dr Sabina Olaru, MSCA National Contact Point at UEFISCDI, explained how hosting researchers and participating in staff exchanges can strengthen research and innovation capacity through access to talent, specialised expertise and international collaboration networks.

Participants from Romania, Estonia, Malaysia, Italy, Panama, Colombia, Moldova and Spain contributed perspectives from both academia and industry, enriching the workshop’s international and multidisciplinary discussions.

For NANOEMCA, the event helped strengthen connections with other Staff Exchanges projects and identify shared interests that could support future international research collaborations.
