Advancing International Research through NANOEMCA MSCA Staff Exchanges

05/09/2026
As part of the NANOEMCA MSCA Staff Exchanges project, international research collaboration is bringing together early-career researchers and scientific expertise across Colombia, Spain, and Türkiye.

Two PhD students, Florelva Rozo García and Karla Yohana Sánchez Mojica, from the Doctoral Program in Automation at the University of Pamplona, Colombia, together with Jose Antonio Casasnovas Rodríguez, early-career researcher at the University of Zaragoza, Spain, are undertaking a secondment at Medikal Teknolojiler Araştırma Geliştirme Sanayi Ticaret Limited Şirketi Company (MEDISEN) in Konya, Türkiye, in collaboration with the Science and Technology Research and Application Center (BİTAM) of Necmettin Erbakan University.

Beyond the scientific dimension, this mobility experience represents an important step in the researchers’ professional development. By working alongside experts from different institutions and countries, these young researchers are expanding their technical knowledge, building international academic and scientific networks, and gaining new perspectives that can support their future research careers.

The secondment also strengthens the links between the University of Pamplona, University of Zaragoza, MEDISEN, and Necmettin Erbakan University, contributing to the long-term development of an international research ecosystem based on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation.

Through initiatives such as this, NANOEMCA MSCA Staff Exchanges supports the development of researchers while fostering the circulation of knowledge across borders and disciplines. The experience gained during these international mobilities will further contribute to research and educational activities at the participating institutions, while opening new pathways towards the transfer of knowledge and innovative solutions with potential applications in different sectors of society.

From Colombia and Spain to Türkiye, NANOEMCA is turning mobility into collaboration, knowledge exchange, and new opportunities for research and innovation.
