NANOEMCA Project Meeting - 4 June 2026

A scientific and technical meeting within the framework of the NANOEMCA project was held at National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest with the participation of academic researchers, industrial partners, and international secondment researchers from Colombia, France, and Romania.

The meeting focused on presenting the objectives of the NANOEMCA project, ongoing research activities, international collaboration opportunities, staff exchange programmes, and future scientific directions related to advanced nanomaterials and their environmental, catalytic, and medical applications.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Habil. Chim. Claudia Maria Simonescu, coordinator and senior researcher within the project consortium.

The participants in this meeting are representatives from MGM STAR Construct SRL - Dr. Ing. Mihai IORDOC – Researcher at MGM STAR Construct SRL working on material applications and technical support activities related to the project, Dr. Ing. Alaa ABOU HARAB – Representative of MGM STAR Construct SRL participating in industrial collaboration activities related to advanced materials applications and project implementation, Dr. Ing. Mohammed Alqasim Alsabti –Research collaborator from MGM STAR Construct SRL involved in advanced materials research, industrial applications, and international scientific exchange activities within the NANOEMCA project, Researcher Stefan Silviu Ovidiu – participating in project-related scientific and industrial activities connected to nanomaterials and applied technologies.

International Participants in secondment at MGM STAR Construct SRL: Ariza-Garcia, Wilmar Alexander – Researcher at Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, Colombia, Ph.D. Student Camilo Andres Albarracin Rojas – University of Caldas, Colombia involved in research activities related to electronic sensing systems and international secondment collaboration.

International Participants in secondment at POLITEHNICA Bucharest: Dr. Ahmed Malek Djaballah CNRS Orléans, France Specialist in catalysis, sustainable chemistry, and advanced materials research, Luz Karime Hernandez Gegen from University of Pamplona, Colombia Mechanical Engineering specialist participating in academic exchange and collaborative research activities.

This meeting represented an important opportunity for: strengthening international scientific collaboration, promoting interdisciplinary research, enhancing cooperation between academia and industry, supporting researcher mobility and knowledge exchange, developing future collaborative projects and scientific publications.
