Upon arrival, the MEDISEN researchers were warmly received at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnologies by Prof. Dr. Eng. Ileana RĂU, Director of the Doctoral School, and Lecturer Dr. Eng. Maria Cristina TODAȘCĂ, Vice Dean. The visit provided an opportunity to introduce the team to the host institution’s academic environment and to initiate discussions on ongoing and future research activities.
During their first days, the MEDISEN team was accompanied by Lecturer Dr. Eng. Annette Madelene DĂNCILĂ, Dr. Eng. Oanamari Daniela ORBULEȚ, and student Alejandro Sanchez PEREZ from the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Engineering. Together, they explored the department’s laboratories, where they engaged with students working on their final theses and gained insight into the faculty’s main research areas and methodologies.
The secondment is expected to foster meaningful scientific exchange, enhance interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to the development of innovative approaches aligned with the objectives of the NANOEMCA project. By working closely with researchers and students at POLITEHNICA Bucharest, the MEDISEN team will further strengthen their expertise while building lasting academic and professional connections.
