KICK-OFF MEETING

On November 21, 2025, the kick-off meeting of the MSCA Staff Exchange "Confined Nanoreactors for Environmental, Medical and Catalytic Applications" (NANOEMCA) project, funded under HORIZON.1.2 - Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) in hybrid form took place.

This international project has as its central objective the connection of academia with the business environment, encouraging mobilities, collaboration and the exchange of knowledge for innovation in the field of free and transition metal-loaded mesoporous organosilica confined nanoreactors with different morphologies for industrial applications.

The Consortium Partners are academic institutions: National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest (POLITEHNICA) (RO) as Coordinator, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Institut für Chemie) (UBER) (DE), Extreme Conditions and Materials: High Temperature and Irradiation - Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) (FR), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) (NO), University of Udine (UNIUD) (IT), University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR) (ES), Aitiip Technology Center (AITIIP) (ES), Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) (LU), University of Pamplona (UP) (CO), Fundación Agencia Aragonesa para la Investigación y el Desarrollo, ES (ARAID) - Associated Partner Linked to UNIZAR and Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs): MEDISEN Medical Technology Research and Development Company Limited Industry Trade (MEDISEN R&D) (TR), Europe for Business Ltd (EFB) (UK), SC MGM Star Construct SRL (MGM) (RO), Kemcristal SRL (KEM) (RO), BEIA CERCETARE SRL (BEIA CERCETARE) (RO), and ChiralVision B.V. (ChiVi) (NL).

The kick-off meeting has been hosted by the Advanced Research Center for Innovative Materials, Products and Processes – CAMPUS Research Center of POLITEHNICA, which also offered the participants the opportunity to visit some of its laboratories.

The kick-off meeting served as the first opportunity for all NANOEMCA project partners to align on the project’s goals, roles, and expectations.
